Da Nang Airport is the smallest of Vietnam's three international airports, after Ho Chi Minh Cityand Hanoi. Since the opening of its new terminal in 2011, passenger numbers have more than doubled to surpass six million annually.
The airport is only two kilometres from the centre of Da Nang, the biggest city in Central Vietnam and the gateway to many popular destinations in the region.
Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific and VietJet Air offer domestic flights to other Vietnamese airports, while international airlines such as AirAsia, Bangkok Airways and Korean Air connect Da Nang Airport to other countries in East and Southeast Asia.
The airport uses a single terminal for domestic and international flights. The choice of shopping and dining venues is limited compared to larger airports, but you'll still have the chance to buy souvenirs and duty-free goods and to enjoy a light meal before or after your flight. If you need cash, the terminal also has ATMs and currency exchange counters where you can get Vietnamese dong.
Da Nang Airport also caters for business travellers. The airport lounge offers guests complimentary Wi-Fi, business services and a selection of hot food and beverages. Even if you're travelling for pleasure, you can relax with current newspapers and magazines or get some rest in the sleeping area.
