Cairns Airport

Cairns Airport is an international airport and regional hub that connects flyers with the Great Barrier Reef. The terminal is located on Airport Avenue in Cairns, Queensland, and is one of the busiest airports in Australia. It is situated approximately 8km north of the central business district in Cairns.

At the airport you will find facilities such as bathrooms, baby change rooms, baggage trolleys, currency exchange counters, and free Wi-Fi. The terminal also have a variety of shopping outlets, including duty-free stores, a newsagent, and shops selling specialty items, fashion, giftwares and more. · Driving: If you plan to book a flight to Cairns, you may want to hire a vehicle online so that a car is waiting for you when you arrive at the airport. Alternatively, if you’re flying out of the city, you may choose to drive your own car to the terminal and park on site.

· Buses: There are two bus services operating between the Cairns airport and a number of suburbs in and around the city. For CBD destinations you can use the Airport Connect public transport link, a bus service linking the airport with the Translink public transport network. For destinations such as Cape Tribulation, Port Douglas and Palm Cove, as well as the city centre, you can take one of Sun Palm’s coaches.

· Taxi: You will find plenty of taxis available in Cairns, travelling both to and from the airport.

To get to the Cairns Airport, drivers must use the National Route 1 going towards National Highway. Drivers must head southwest on National Route 1 toward National Highway A1 and turn right onto Airport Ave. Cairns is approximately 1750km from Brisbane.
