Travel Information

· If you choose to hire a car in Mumbai, it is strongly recommended that you hire one with a driver. Self-driving in the city can be quite intimidating, and unless you have driven in India before can be confusing. Hiring a driver with a car is not a huge added cost, and will make your life a lot easier. There are car rental companies in both terminals that can help you with this service, or you can opt for this service online with our search tool.

· India is known for its trains, and you can find rail connections into the main city, with the closest train station to the International Terminal being the Andheri Station. Buses connect the airport to this station, look for Route 308 to take advantage of this service.

· There are taxis and auto rickshaws that travel to the city, generally the auto rickshaws are much cheaper, but only really suitable for two people, especially if you have a fair amount of luggage. Expect the fares to begin at about 450INR ($9). Make sure the driver turns the meter on, or agree the price before hopping in the vehicle.  If you’d rather not haggle for a price, you can organise an airport transfer ahead of time with Skyscanner.
