Broome International Airport, Australia

Broome International Airport, also known just as Broome Airport, is located less than one kilometre west of Broome, the regional hub of Western Australia in the north-western part of the state.  The airport is on Macpherson Road, and has been privately owned since 1991.

While the airport is one of the busiest regional airports in W.A., it is still only a reasonably small venue with limited facilities. Travellers booking flights to Broome or departing from the terminal will, however, find services such as  the Pandanas Gift Shop and Gallery; baggage trolleys and storage; ATMs; baby change tables; restrooms (including those for the physically impaired); public telephones; and Nakamura’s bar and cafe. The terminal also has a Qantas Regional Lounge.

Travel Information

· Walking: Due to the airport’s close proximity to the centre of Broome, it is easy to walk into the city once you arrive, or to walk to the terminal from the CBD.

Parking is free for up to 2 hours, or around $13 per day for long-term stays. Alternatively, if you want to have a car on hand during your time in the area, you can hire a vehicle at the airport.

· Buses: Courtesy airport shuttles are provided by some hotels – check with your accommodation provider before you arrive at the terminal. Additionally, Broome Transit also operates an airport-to-hotel transfer service for travellers.
