Alghero Sardinia Airport

The Alghero Riviera del Corallo Airport (AHO), also referred to as simply the Alghero Airport, is situated in the north of Sardinia, a beautiful Italian island in the Mediterranean. It is one of three airports serving Sardinia, but the most convenient for those travellers wanting to travel around the northwestern regions of this island.

Originally a military airport, built in 1938, this facility has been refurbished, and reassigned as a civil facility. It is an important hub for Ryanair, a major low-cost carrier in Europe.

The airport is made up of one terminal, and this houses all the amenities available at the airport, including WiFi access, cash machines, currency exchange services, and a pharmacy. You will also find that there is a tourist information desk where you can learn about the attractions on the island.

There is a small café and snack bar placed on either side of security, and this is where you can pick up hot or cold drinks, sandwiches, pizza, and snacks on the go. There’s also a retail store offering duty-free goods, and a few shops selling reading materials, wine, travel accessories, and gifts.

Flights to Alghero from Australia are usually operated by Alitalia, Singapore Airlines, Etihad Airways, Thai Airways, Qatar Airways, Qantas, and Cathay Pacific.
